Nathalie Roseau is an architect DPLG and an engineer
graduated of Ecole Polytechnique. She is graduated from a PHD in urbanism of
the University Paris-Est. After having been in charge of urban studies in DREIF
(Ministry of Urban planning in Paris Region), and DATAR (Department of Land
Planning), she then joined the architecture office led by Paul Andreu in Paris
Airports Corporation. In charge of the building project of 2F Terminal in
Roissy and the renovation design project of Roissy 1, she also contributed to
several urban design competitions in China. Associate professor in Ecole
Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, she has been since 2003 the head of the Urban
and Regional Planning Program. She is a researcher in Laboratoire Techniques,
Territoires et Sociétés (LATTS, Université Paris-Est, France) and, since 2009,
she has been an invited professor in the master Progettazione architettonica et
urbana from Politecnico di Milano (Dipartimento di Architettura e
Pianificazione, Italy). Her research activities focus on the contemporary
dynamics of metropolitan transformations and urban strategic process, the
imaginary of the city and the relations between infrastructure and
architecture. She defended her PHD on the urban imaginary inspired from the
aerial culture and the way it shapes the cultural history of airports
(forthcoming book, Parenthèses, 2012).
